Joseph Antoine Bell has been banned from football for five years.

The 1984 and 1988 African champion with the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon was sidelined by the approval and discipline committee of the Football League of Wouri Division.

Pursuant to legislation penalizing the general packages of clubs involved in competition, this body thus prohibits Bell, president of Bandjoun fc of Douala, to be board member of another affiliated club or an organ of the federation Cameroon Football or its leagues during a five-year term. The decision was taken on October 29, 2015.

It also concerns the leaders of the New-Bell Sports clubs academy (André Eto'o) and Cpsed (Patrice Tchamtcheu). The approval and discipline committee of the departmental league of Wouri explains that these clubs "have been the object packages for the second time during the championship declared as general forfeiture.”

"Therefore, they are part of the Office of relegation clubs quota in accordance with Article 91 paragraphs 1 and 2 of the Disciplinary Code of FECAFOOT."

By way of reaction, Joseph Antoine Bell said, "a general assembly that says I am a member cannot make a decision for me and will not notify me but instead publish in the media and social networks. Go ask those who run this league to show you the ethnic affiliation of Bandjoun fc."

He argues that "Article 32 of the General Regulations of FECAFOOT said that clubs that are not affiliated are considered non-active. We find that they do not take part in the championship and are provided unreported crime even if they have the same fate; relegation. And leaders are not sanctioned like those clubs who started the event before general forfeiture."

According to sources, the club management plans in retaliation to attack the regional football league of Littoral court of the Chamber of Conciliation and Arbitration of the National Olympic and Sports Committee of Cameroon. He denounced the organization of a competition without regulation.
