Teams in the Cameroon professional football league will soon be adorned with kits from the Italian sporting Company, Garman SARL.
The partnership agreement that was signed this Friday the 6th March 2015 at Hilton Hotel in Yaounde lay groundwork for Italian company to provide sport equipment to teams in Cameroon.
According to the President of the Cameroon Professional League, General Pierre Semengue, the partnership will go a long way to develop football in the country and to provide a comfortable environment for clubs to construct a good image of the league in and around the country.
With the equipment produced with diverse colors, it will give the opportunity for players to feel the beauty of the game and to give out the best.
Taking into cognizance that the professional league office is in charge of all affairs in division one and two teams, a four year partnership stipulates that, the Italian company provide equipment to teams in the league ranging from jerseys to boots.
Founded in 1985, Garman under the leadership of OSVALDO SCALVENZI, (Group President), will provide 12 personal equipment to each club with their logos in the professional league. In addition, T-Shirts for supporters will also be provided at a minimal fee.
In total, the group will provide 1260 equipment for the 36 teams in league one and two.
Each player in the team will have one travelling bag, one complete jersey for home matches and one for away matches, one outing set, one jersey for training and one for outing, one pair of personalized boats designed in the national colours and one ball among others.
Garman accepted to accompany the league in its activities such as the championship, top matches, the LFPC awards as well as the super cup of the league.
More to that, the group accepted to organized international matches within Italy as well as selling the image of clubs.
The partnership will help to ameliorate the relationship between players and clubs, ameliorate teams resources and the league in relation to selling different products, develope the competition through quality equipment, paint a good picture of the clubs and players within and out of the national territory plus their actors and to promote the spirit of the league.
The signing ceremony that was void of speeches was attended by the director of Garman SARL in Africa, Mr. Mouafo Armel, Roving Ambassador, Roger Milla, the President of the Normalization Committee, Prof Joseph Owona, the representative of the minister of Sport and physical education and the Italian Ambassador to Cameroon.
Garman Group has not only signed partnership in Africa but all over the globe, producing sports equipment for teams in USA, France and Germany.
