Indomitable Lions Indomitable Lions

The Indomitable Lions have been at camp since Monday, October 5, 2015 in Belgium to prepare for the friendly match against Nigeria, scheduled this October 11, 2015 in Brussels.

Out of the 25 players summoned by Coach Volker Finke, 17 took part in the first training session held on Tuesday morning, October 6, 2015 at the Sports Complex of Joli Bois in Waterloo, South of Brussels (the Belgian capital).

"The training session on Tuesday involved muscle reinforcement for all the players. Then there was some group exercises under the guidance of Coach Volker Finke. He scheduled another training session for 4 pm (3 pm in Yaoundé) at the same stadium,” said Vincent De Paul Atangana, the press secretary of the national team of Cameroon.

In the first wave of pre-selected players who participated in training this morning were Aurelien Chedjou defender and striker Clinton Njie. Both sign and return in the den, having missed last month when Cameroon was to play in Banjul against Gambia (1-0), a playoff game for the 2017 African Nations Cup, AFCON in Gabon.

The friendly match between Cameroon and Nigeria will be held at the Van Roy Denderleeuw Stadium from 6 pm (5 pm in Yaoundé) on Sunday, October 11, 2015. This is an evaluation match in preparation of qualifiers for the World Cup, Russia, 2018.

In November 2015, Cameroon will play against the winner of the preliminary game between Somalia and Niger which will take be played this month.
