First contracts awarded for Women's AFCON 2016

Almost a year to the start of the Women's Africa Cup of Nations and things are going well with regards to work on the two stadiums to host the games.

The event will take place from November 19 to December 3, 2016.

Last week, the Minister of Procurement, Abba Sadou, named the companies to work on the Omnisport stadium in Limbé and Ahmadou Ahidjo stadium in Yaoundé.

Works will be on the construction of the access and bypass channels around the stadium in Limbe, the equipment with benches and metalworks in Yaoundé, the rehabilitation of the lawn and the athletics track as well as the training stadiums.
