Fécafoot Election: Flunked candidates to address press today

Tuesday, November 25, 2014, the contenders whose nominations for the election of the President of the Cameroon Football Federation were rejected, will face the media.

"The press conference will take place at 17h, but the place still to be determined," says Jules Frederic Nyongha. The latter, like Joseph Antoine Bell, Robert Atha, Brigitte and Robert Mebande Pene are the five candidates who met last night with the Election Commission chair, Joseph Owona.

Nothing filtered out of the meeting held at the headquarters of FECAFOOT in Yaounde. But our party has agreed to meet on Tuesday evening for the big revelation. "We'll tell you after we intend to give the fate of our candidates," promises the former coach of the Indomitable Lions football.

Meanwhile, the Election Commission exceptionally specified a different period which runs until Wednesday, November 26, 2014 to candidates to re-apply and complete each list. "If we could not build a list from the deadline, it is not giving us months that will. When I go to the delegates, everyone asks me five million FCFA. You think I'm going to take the money where? Thus, under these conditions, it is impossible to make a complete list," indignant flunked candidate.

For the elective General Assembly of Fécafoot, Saturday 29 November, Tombi A Roko Sidiki is so far only qualified successor of Mohammed Iya as President of FECAFOOT.
