Equato-Guinean President honours former footballers

Equatorial Guinea President Theodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo and wife on Friday received a delegation of former African footballers among them, the roving Ambassador, Roger Milla and Joseph Antoine Bell.

The meeting at the Presidential Palace organized by the businessman, owner of Afrique Media was in recognition of the contribution of the stars of the yesteryears for their contribution in building the image of the continent through football.

Roger Milla appreciated the gesture as a mark of honour. He said Obiang urged former footballers to work together for the good of African youths.

African youths are suffering and need to be accompanied for a future without wars, but with good health and peace. He added that he would still be Obiang Nguema’s guest in the days ahead.
