Dzeekwa United registers first victory

Dzeekwa United has registered her first victory in the ongoing 9th edition Bui Sport Fans Competition, BSFC, currently going on at the University of Yaoundé 1 Campus.

A second half strike from Yonyuy Valerie gave Dzeekwa United the victory of the day as the Jakiri boys beat Bui Diaspora FC 1-0 to earn their first win in the competition.

Despite dangerous opportunities created by Bui Diaspora in the second half, Dzeekwa United consolidated the lone gone lead to the end.

After registering two draws and three defeats in the first leg, the Jakiri boys kick-start the return leg of the competition win a win that has inspire them to look forward for greener pastures.

According to Mborong Henry, coach of Dzeekwa United, his team will play the finals of BSFC. “I am so happy with the win and it is coming to testify that we are ready to turn the tables and qualify for the second round of the competition. We will play the finals of the 9th edition,” stated the coach.

During the first leg of the competition, both teams separated on 1-1 parity. Meanwhile, in another derby of the day, Mbiame United crushed Ngonso Taxi Drivers FC 2-0 to finish on spot number two in the general classification.

Faakui FC remains on spot number one with 13 points after winning four of their five matches in the first round. Mbiame comes second with 10 points while Bui Diaspora completes the podium on spot number three.

NDECA Youth FC comes fourth with six points, Dzeekwa United at the 5th position with five points while Ngonso Taxi Drivers Fc tails the table with two points after five matches. 21 goals in 15 matches were scores in the first round.

Tomorrow Sunday June 12 will mark the 9th playing day with Bui Diaspora to take on Faakui FC while Ngonso Taxi Drivers face Mbiame United in the return leg of the competition.
