The president of the Cameroonian cycling federation Moustapha Dogo died on Wednesday after he felt faint while attending a meeting at the Sports Ministry, the family of the deceased told APA on Thursday.
Dogo who was immediately hurried to a nearby hospital, passed away before the doctors even could make a diagnosis of his condition.
Moustapha Dogo’s death occurred at a time when he was actively preparing for the organization of the International Cycling 'Grand Prix’ dubbed Chantal Biya named after Cameroon’s First Lady, a competition which is scheduled to take place on 15-19 October 2014.
He had been elected president of the Cycling Federation in 2013, to the backdrop of internal dissentions, and above all, with a strong resistance from his predecessor, François Njele, who was resolute to make his life miserable.
