Cycling Federation: MINSEP approves new leadership

The Minister of Sports and Physical Education, Adoum Garoua, has signed a communiqué approving the resolutions of the general assembly of December 29 2014, which voted Honoré Yossi as president of the cycling federation.

The decision of the Minister puts an end to the doubt that prevailed in the federation as the election of Yossi Honoré was challenged by Kameni John, citing the non-approval of the Minister as proof that there was vacancy at the helm of the federation.

The election marked the end of the normalisation process in the federation which began with the modification of the statutes after the International Cycling Union failed to recognise the bureau led by late Moustapha Dogo.
