African and Cameroonian legend Samuel Eto’o has reportedly been offered about R450 million to join Chinese side Jiangsu Suning.

The 34-year-old has impressed Antalyaspor since joining the Turkish club at the beginning of the season.

With 13 goals in 17 games, he is currently the joint-top goalscorer in the Super Lig, along with former Bayern Munich striker Mario Gomez.

However, it seems the Cameroonian’s stint in Turkey could be cut short, with Jiangsu offering him a whopping two and a half year deal.

According to Turkish media, the Chinese Super League side offered Eto’o $27.5 million (R447 million) to join them in this transfer window.

Antalyaspor are reportedly prepared to sell the ageing superstar, in which case the Chinese side, which is coached by former Chelsea star Dan Petrescu, would agree to a $10 million (R166 million) transfer fee.

The Chinese Super League and its endless money has attracted many stars, including Asamoah Gyan, Robinho and Demba Ba.

It has also been claimed that Antalyaspor’s outspoken president Gideon Gencer will attempt to lure Brazilian striker Alexandre Pato to the club as Eto’o’s replacement.
