Cash prize for Mt Cameroon race of Hope unpaid

None of the winners of the 20th edition of the Mount Cameroon Race of Hope February 14, 2015 dubbed Guinness Cameroon Race of Hope which took place in Buea have received their prize till date.

No explanation has been given to the winners; Godlove Gabsibuin for men and Yvonne Ngwaya for the ladies who await the sum of 10 million CFA FRANCS each as part of their trophy.

Contacted on telephone by CRTV radio reporter, Ghodsi Gabsibuin who is currently in his natal home in Nkambe Department of Ndonga mantum in the Northwest region, said he was surprised saying, "Whenever I tried to contact the president of the federation, it rings and nobody picks my call. Other winners call me regularly to find out if I have already received the money".

It should be noted that on Thursday, a meeting was held at the Ministry of sports and physical education in Yaoundé, which was attended by the president of the Cameroon athletic federation who just returned from a trip abroad.
