Cameroonians expect victory, Mkpatt tells Belinga

The new technical staff of the Indomitable Lions was received in audience by the Minister of Sports and Physical Education (MINSEP) yesterday.

This was after their appointment on October 30, 2015.

In addition to the closest associates of Ishmael Bidoung Mkpatt, those present were the President of FECAFOOT; Tombi A Roko, deputy national technical director; Etienne Sonckeng, and two technicians; Alexandre Belinga and his deputy Bonaventure Djonkep.

The patron of sports did not look for complicated formulas to impress the new boss of the national team that the whole country is waiting for victories.

"Keep this in mind that the Head of State and the Cameroonian people expect victories," said the Minister addressing the coaches before adding "the sporting public and the entire Cameroonian sports are watching you and place many hopes in you. Act in order to regain the victories that our country finds its pride of place on the board of the Africa and world football."

The message seems to have touched the recipients. Thanking "the hierarchy for the trust placed" in him, Alexandre Belinga promised to do everything to live up to the challenge.

"The mission entrusted to us is exciting but at the same time it is a heavy responsibility," said the former coach of Les Astres of Douala before promising "for these two deadlines that challenge us in a few days, we will put everything to ensure that Cameroonians are not disappointed."

The head of the coaching staff talked about the double confrontation with Niger in Niamey on November 13 and 17 in Yaoundé, counting for the second round of qualifying for the World Cup 2018. Russia's main mission for Alexandre Belinga and Cameroon is to qualify for the group stage of the qualifiers.
