Cameroon football season kicks-off today

The Cameroon football season is set to kick-off today February 8 with Coton sport of Garoua taking on vice-Champions, Cosmos of Bafia in a classical derby in Bafia.

In League II, newly promoted Racing of Bafoussam, will challenge relegated Douala Athletico Club on the 14th of February 2015.

Prior to the start of the season stakeholders and the Professional Football League met to adopt the rules and regulations.

The meeting that lasted for some hours was an avenue for the President of the LFPC General Pierre Semengue and clubs president to deliberate on the 2014/2015 football season and define the calendar of the championship.

Meanwhile.matches initially to be played at the Amadou Ahidjo Stadium have been moved to the CAF Technical Centre in Mbankomo.

The stadium has been closed down for rehabilitation in line with plans to host the 2019 Nations Cup.
