Calm seems to have returned to the Cameroonian Cycling Federation (Fecacyclisme), after many court cases.

According to the president of the Fecacyclisme Honore Yossi, all the third-party claims against the federation to invalidate the Elective General Assembly of November 29, 2014 or the resolutions of the General Assembly on July 5,2014 were rejected by the National Olympic and Sports Committee of Cameroon (CNOSC).

He made this statement at a press briefing yesterday April 29, 2015 in Yaounde by the President of the Federation.

The Fecacyclisme can now run its activities on this year's program. In sporting terms, the first race is a nocturnal prologue to be held May 9, 2015 in Yaounde called "Kermesse of Ongola". The race will be held over a distance of 1.2 km on the Mvog Ada boulevard between "Import" and "bar RTK".

During this competition, several types of races will be organized around the clock by elimination, individual pursuit, team pursuit, the pursuit "the Italian", the individual points race, etc.

"This is to bring cycling to the people to create awareness as well. We found out that the popular enthusiasm around the discipline has declined somehow.

All safety conditions have been made to ensure the smooth running of activities, "said Yossi Honoré. The Federation plans to organize three other national races in the year and the championship of the discipline.

Internationally, the Fecacyclisme aims to participate in the All Africa Games in Brazzaville (Congo), and Tours in Ivory Coast, Rwanda and Faso.

Furthermore, at a meeting of the Executive Bureau, April 28, 2015 in Yaoundé, the first outlines of the 13th edition of the Tour of Cameroon were examined but the course was made public yesterday. The event, to be held from March 12 to 20, 2016, includes eight steps: Ayos- Yaounde; Pouma- Kribi; Kribi Douala; Douala, Kumba-Douala; Mbanga- Bafang; Bafoussam- Dschang- Bafoussam; Bayomen (between Ndikinimeki and Bafia)-Yaoundé.

However, while this year the Federation recorded an increase of its licensees (250 for now), it regrets the lack of vitality of regional leagues. "Only five leagues have sent us their programs.

They must always hold at least three races a year. Some do not even count licensees" regrets Bruno Eloumou, secretary general of Fécacyclisme.
