The Minister of Economy and Regional Planning and Land Use presided on Sunday a fundraising ceremony for the "most supported club of Cameroon" in Douala.

According to the Minister of Economy and Regional Planning Emmanuel Nganou Djoumessi, Bamboutos of Mbouda is responsible for what its problems between 2007 and 2013 during which they were suspended. For him, this team has simply taken the flank and could only get a slap on the hand.

"We all relate to this team, each according to his feelings, excessive or moderate. Bamboutos experienced this extremely difficult period due to our own making and we must acknowledge it," he said on Sunday in Douala during his first intervention in the fundraising event for BAMBOUTOS FC football club.

He made this call in the hope that "what has been the source of our slump should not be repeated again. Always learn to dominate your impulses,” he strongly advised.

The Minister was referring to the attitude of Justin Blaise Tagouh, boss of Bamboutos who was leading the club at the time of its demotion for corruption. One recalls that the leader of Bamboutos who was not present at the ceremony, had the habit of criticizing, sometimes to belabor the patrons of the Cameroon Football Federation. This has led some fans to believe that their club was paying for these "insults".

Also in the records of denunciations related to the errors of his "brothers" in managing Bamboutos, Emmanuel Djoumessi Nganou reports that he "disturbed the president one day" to allow Bamboutos of Mbouda to use a plane to play a match abroad.

He concluded by complaining that the club has not been able to use wisely these opportunities.
