Afrobasket: Cameroon ranked 9th

Cameroon has placed 9th out of 16 at the 2015 Afrobasket tourney. Their performance was worse than in 2013 in Côte d'Ivoire, where the country was placed 5th.

At the palais des Sports de Radès, the Indomitable Lions beat Cape Verde in their classification match by 88 points to 66.

This victory allowed Cameroon to occupy the 9th place. Steve Moundou Missi, one of the vice captains of the selection, finished top scorer of the game with 16 points and six rebounds.

Arnaud Adala Moto, revelation of the Cameroonian selection, was top rebounder of the final match of Cameroon with eight rebounds. The country ended with two losses and three wins in five outings during the competition (August 19 to 30 in Tunisia).

A press conference yesterday disclosed that the final of the 28th men’s Afrobasket will be played between Nigeria and Angola.
