Therese Raissa Neguel chosen as FIFA Women’s world cup referee

Cameroonian born Therese Raissa Neguel has been selected to be part of the team of referees to officiate during the upcoming Female’s World Cup Football taking place between 5th June to 6thJuly 2015 in Canada.

The 33 year old who hails from Garoua in the Northern Region was selected to join 21 others.

She became third from Africa (Tafesse Ledya from Ethiopia and Gladys Lengwe from Zambia).

Therese Raissa Neguel identified for her brilliant and irreproachable performances in two female football tournaments-the Under 17 Women’s World Cup in 2007 and the 2011 Tournament in Germany.

Some 44 assistant referees have been selected to beef up the team, of the 44, four are from Africa:

- Mana Ayawa Dzodope - Togo

- Bernadettar Kwimbira - Malawi

- Souad Oulhaj - Morocco

- Lidwine Pelagie Rakotozafinoro - Madagascar
