Will Cameroon change coach before Afcon 2017 qualifiers?

Sports pundits in Cameroon are not at ease with just 60 days to the first qualification match for CAN 2017. Coach Volker Finke is equally uncertain as to whether he will take the national team to the competition.

Out of contract by next month, the German technician is really appreciated. Although he and his team failed in 2014 World Cup with the many problems within the team. This was compounded by their catastrophic elimination at Afcon 2015 in the first round and his difficult relationship with the local press.

In Cameroon, the issue is much debated in sports newsrooms. But for now, neither FECAFOOT nor the Ministry of Sports has commented on the matter.

Cameroon is in the same group of the Afcon 2017 qualifiers as South Africa, Gambia and Mauritania.
