Contrary to the information published on the acquisition by the Moroccan operator on this project, Cosumar guarantee that the candidacy of purchase is still at the study phase and could lead to an eventual acquisition.

The call for tenders concerning the complex of Batouri was made on November 20, 2014.

According to estimates, if the purchase is completed with an investment of 60 billion CFA, Batouri complex will create about 17,000 jobs, with an annual production of 60,000 tonnes, with plantations of sugarcane covering 32,000 hectares.
