Three ambassadors received at the MINREX

The Minister Pierre Moukoko Mbonjo granted hearings to the ambassadors of China and France, then to the High Commissioner to South Africa.

At the end of his stay in Cameroon, H.E. Wo Ruidi, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China, was the first to be received Friday in Yaoundé by the Minister of External Relations, Pierre Moukoko Mbonjo.

At the end of the hearing, the Chinese diplomat revealed to the press that he must return to China at the end of this month. "I came say goodbye to the Minister and thank him for the support from the Ministry of External Relations during my stay in Cameroon," he said.

Asked to reveal the good and the bad memories he keep from Cameroon, H.E. Wo Ruidi said that he will leave both with regret and without regret. With regret because, he explained, "Cameroon is a country of peace and stability, with a people who is very friendly with the Embassy of the People's Republic of China.

And with no regrets because "before my departure, we settled the problem of the ten Chinese hostages who were released healthy and safe thanks to the efforts of his S. E. Mr. Paul Biya and concerned departments of Cameroon. This is why I say that I leave Cameroon without regret," said the Chinese Ambassador.

After Wo Ruidi, Minister of External Relations also welcomed the Ambassador of France in Cameroon, H.E. Christine Robichon. At the end of a long interview with Pierre Moukoko Mbonjo, She told journalists that their relationships are intense and France is alongside Cameroon in the fight against terrorism.

It is useful from time to time to take stock of this cooperation and in particular, of various forms of support that the France brings in Cameroon with regard to security issues. It is very useful and things are going in the right direction."

MINREX ended the evening of Friday with the granted audience to H.E. Zanele Makina, High Commissioner of the Republic of South Africa in Cameroon. On the subject of discussions with the Minister Pierre Moukoko Mbonjo, she said that it was a question of strengthening of relations of cooperation between the two countries.

"We discussed the agreements on which we will work. There is, for example, in preparing the meeting in South Africa of the senior officials of the two countries. We want to start the New Year on hats wheel", launched the South African diplomat.
