Paul Biya promulgates anti terrorism law

He went ahead to pass this bill despite sharp recriminations from opposition parties and the civil society at large.

Tuesday, December 23, 2014, the draft text on the Suppression of acts of terrorism, recently adopted by Parliament, was made a law. This was following its promulgation by the President of the Republic Mr. Paul Biya.

A few weeks ago reacting to its possible validation, the chairman of the SDF, Mr. Ni John Fru Ndi had argued that if ever it were to be enacted, he would help Paul Biya to spoil the country.
