Cameroon prepares for CAN tchoukball

Tchoukball, a sport which collectively combines handball, volleyball and basque pelota will begin its tournament 13 August in Benin.

Tchoukball began in Cameroon in 2009, and 2010. Cities like Yaoundé and Douala, Dschang, Mbalmayo, constituted the heart of this association, which brings together 360 licensees. From 13 to 18 next August, Cameroon will take part in the Africa Cup of tchoukball in Benin.

This year, 17 countries (Algeria, Angola, Benin, Burkina Faso, Côte d'Ivoire, Ghana, Kenya, Mali, Morocco, Niger, Nigeria, Uganda, Seychelles, Senegal, Togo and Tunisia) will participate in this tournament with hopes of winning the title won in 2012 by Togo. This weekend, Olivier Ndam, Captain of the national team of Cameroon and his teammates will present a list of the 12 players to take part in Benin.

In this discipline where Cameroon is pioneer in Central Africa, collective work and determination is needed. And for the players, it is their individual commitment that will make the difference. Cameroon hopes to finish at least in the final as the top two teams from this CAN qualifier for the World Games.
