235 Military Specialists Upgrade Skills

The Centre for the Training of Military Specialists (CISA) on April 8, 2013 in Yaounde, graduated some 235 specialised military interns. The ceremony that held in the precincts of CISA inside the Yaounde Military Headquarters at the Ngoa-Ekelle neighbourhood was chaired by Major General Philippe Mpay, Commander of Military Schools and Training Centres.

For six months, the 235 interns in 23 specialties such as secretarial duties, court registry, penitentiary administration, music, industrial sewing, cookery, brick laying, and wood processing, were drilled on how to upgrade skills. The main objective was to improve the performance of interns in line with the road map of the Ministry of Defence.

The Commander of the School, Navy Captain Megueri Mbang read out the names of successful interns while those with outstanding results were called out to receive testimonials from senior military staff. Navy Lieutenant Amougou Ekoumou commanded the troops and received appreciation from Major General Philippe Mpay.

The beauty in music was brought to the fore with interns of the music section showing their knowhow with dexterity. Their performance before and especially during the military march past added more colour and appeal to the event.
