Spain to Strengthen Trade Relations

External Relations Minister yesterday June 6, received the outgoing Spanish Ambassador.

The outgoing Ambassador of Spain to Cameroon, Arturo Spiegelberg de Ortueta says his country plans to strengthen economic and trade relations with Cameroon in line with the priority of enabling Spanish enterprises go international. He made the declaration in Yaounde, on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 after a farewell audience with Cameroon's Minister of External Relations, Pierre Moukoko Mbonjo.

The Spanish diplomat disclosed to the press that they used the audience to review bilateral cooperation established some 50 years ago. He acknowledged that cooperation was excellent in the cultural and political domains. The major preoccupation of the two countries, he stated, will be to improve relations with particular interest on strengthening economic and trade cooperation. Spain, the diplomat said would want its enterprises to invest in Cameroon.

"I am going to remember Cameroon as a very welcoming, hospitable and tolerant country," Arturo Spiegelberg de Ortueta said, talking about his memories of the country.
