Scramble for position as SWELA’s scribe quits stage

Reports around Meme division presently holds that, instead of mourning the death of their senior colleague and divisional boss, Late Epie Ekalle Shadrack who passed away on June 17, 2014, prospective candidates are already eying the position to succeed him as Meme Divisional Delegate for Secondary Education.

It is alleged that files containing curriculum vitae of some Principals in Meme are already en route to Yaoundé for examination.

While some quarters hold that the Current Divisional Delegate for Secondary Education in Kupe Muenanguba, Akwo Eyoh will easily succeed his own tribe’s man of Bafaw, reasons being that he had served in same capacity in Meme before being transferred to Bangem, fears are high that he might likely not be chosen, whereas he has been qualified as a square peg in a square hole.

A senior militant of the CPDM who pleaded not to be named for fear of victimization hinted that the current principal of GBHS Kumba, Nganda Rudolf, also a Councillor of the Mbonge Council, might come out victorious in the campaign.

Allegations are rife that he has already made contacts to party hierarchy, to remember him this time around. His arguments, we learn is that he has been ‘charge de mission’ for the party for long, even though he stood and lost elections to become Mayor in Mbonge.

He equally has a rich professional experience, having piloted big schools and succeeded in producing outstanding results.

His bid to this position might yield fruits as it is alleged that he is having strong support from former Minister, Justice Benjamin Itoe and Madame Ndoh Bertha, Special Adviser at the Prime Minister’s Office.

Mukete Charles Njichuo needs no introduction. He is one of the longest serving Principals in Anglophone Cameroon, but was relieved of his functions about three years ago as Principal of GBHS Kumba, and till date has no duty post.

Commentators in Kumba hold that he might be compensated for this bad treatment given him by the powers that be.

Other Principals tipped for the position are the Principals of CCAS Kumba, Mwelle Knuz Mbai, and Dr Andrew Tazi Mbencho, Principal of GBHS Kosala Kumba and former SWELA’s Scribe.
