Mboma “very afraid” of Brazil

Cameroon need to grab three points against Mexico in their opening World Cup match to be in a position to go through the first round of the 2014 Brazil World Cup, says Patrick Mboma.

Mboma predicts that the best Cameroon can hope for is to emerge second behind Brazil, it what he describes as a “very complicated” World Cup campaign.

“I am not afraid of Mexico, not that it is a negligible team,” he told RMC Sport. “I am afraid of Croatia and very afraid of Brazil.

“We will try to get a place behind Brazil, of course it will be very complicated. We absolutely need to take three points against Mexico.”

Mboma had 56 caps for Cameroon before retiring.
