Only two days in the start of rehabilitation work on the Nsimalen road and already so much work has been done. The road that was once in a deplorable condition now has a facelift.

The Razel company is in charge of the project and has not missed a spot in restoring the old road, a professionalism that has sparked satisfaction and optimism among the Minister of Housing and Urban Development (Minhdu), Jean-Claude Mbwentchou, who paid a working visit to the infrastructure on Monday.

Accompanied by the government delegate to the Yaoundé City Council (CUY), Gilbert Tsimi Evouna, he went to assess the work. "This work was scheduled and planned as part of the emergency plan of the Head of State. We came to assess the work first and then the progress," he said.

In order to contribute to the improvement of driving on the route, the Minhdu and government delegate of CUY undertook to carry out rehabilitation.

The work involves the road, sidewalks and the environment. "There was talk of retarring the ground with a two-layer coat of 5 cm," said Minister Jean-Claude Mbwentchou.

Moreover, lighting, vertical and horizontal signage will be reviewed, "We will restore street lighting. Razel will also proceed with the cleanup to solve the problem of drainage," concluded the Minhdu.

At the Airport roundabout and Nkolnda descent where the delegation also visited the same day, the assessment was the same. "This is a professional job that Razel is doing and we think we have a strong pace. We are sure that the work will be completed in time," welcomed Minister Jean-Claude Mbwentchou. Some instructions and recommendations were given to guide the work of Razel.
