Yaoundé search for means to make Hollande spend the night

The subject was discussed on Saturday 27 June at the hearing granted by the head of State to the Ambassador of France. The point of the preparation for the arrival of François Hollande in Cameroon on July 03, constituted the bulk of the interview between the Ambassador of France, Christine Robichon and her host.

Speaking to the press at the end of the meeting of almost an hour, the diplomat stated that: "all is well. We are working well in the preparation of this visit in an excellent atmosphere. All is going well."

But according to sources, the Cameroonian party strongly wish the diplomat will intercede with Elysee, of the request that Yaoundé would like the French Presidency to redevelop its agenda, just so François Hollande agrees to spend the night in Yaounde.

Already, for Cameroonian observers, president François Hollande will pass the night in Benin and Angola during his other African tour scheduled from July 1.

According to our informants, Christine Robichon told authorities of Yaoundé that with a programme already made by Elysee, it is practically not easy to make changes. But, she promised the request would be submitted to the French State Protocol.
