Women's World Cup: The list of 23 expected Lionesses

The publication of the list is announced for the next few days while the team beat Ivory Coast (2-3) Sunday in a friendly. The departure of the indomitable Lionesses for Canada for the Women's World Cup from June 6, is scheduled Thursday, May 14, 2015.

And by then, the list of 23 players selected for the competition will be made public by the staff. The group led by Carl Enow Ngachu should not be different from the one that played the final of the Africa cup of Nations 2014 in Namibia, and therefore, that qualified Cameroon for its first World Cup.

It should, however, count on the presence of the two bi-national, Marie Aurèle Awona and Astride Virlouvet, who recently chose to play with the Cameroon national team.

While waiting for the list of the elected, the team continues its preparation. Sunday in Abidjan, the lionesses beat Côte d'Ivoire in friendly (2-3), goals from Michèle Henriette Akaba Edoa (13'), Géneviève Ngo Beleck (45') and Christine Manie ('80) for the Cameroon side.

Beyond the victory and the effect on the mind, the key was especially for this team to see where she was after several months of internship, without real sparring-partners. Housed in Group C alongside Japan, world champion, the Switzerland and Ecuador, Cameroon competes June 8 against the Central American country.
