The Senate President has donated just over 3 million FCfa for the purchase of an outboard motor at Magba, Noun division to secure the area.

He advocated vigilance, collaboration and mobilization against Boko Haram.

"The recently perpetrated acts by Boko Haram have overturned the convictions in which we were comforted. The response against this absolute evil goes beyond purely military actions and calls for an effective and total national mobilization.”

Senate President, Marcel Niat Njifenji, spoke in Bangangté and pledged full support to the head of state in his crusade against terrorism. The sensitization meeting, held for three days from Thursday to Saturday and with the authorities of the region, extended to local councilors, traditional leaders, ministers of religion, economic operators and forces of the eight western departments had intended to provide the contribution of the Western Region in the fight against Boko Haram.

Marcel Niat Njifenji urged the citizens to quickly inform competent authorities of any suspicions to help preserve peace, stability and freedoms to which all Cameroonian citizens are deeply attached.

"It is an obligation of civic responsibility which commits us to reassure our populations to avoid installing them in psychosis, manifestly aim sought by Boko Haram," he said.

Also, because peace is necessary for development, the Senate President urged the forces to be stakeholders in the economic, social and cultural development of the country.

The general secretary of the governor services, Mooh Emile Simon, welcomed this initiative while reassuring that the security situation is under control. He communicated the process of preventive measures taken to ensure the safety of people and goods in the West.
