The Tika is for Turkey what AFD is for France. This Turkish Agency for Cooperation and Coordination has partnered with the Cameroon Association for Aid and Solidarity (Acamas) to mobilize nearly 45 tons of food to support the war against the terrorist sect Boko Haram.

The donation consists of cartons of oil, soap, sugar, pasta, bags of rice, peanut and salt which were given to Cameroon through the governor of the region of Far North, Midjiyawa Bakari attended by military official last Tuesday by the Turkish ambassador.

For Omer Faruk Dogan, Turkey's generosity to the Cameroonian people affected by the atrocities of the terrorist sect Boko Haram and Defence Forces mobilized against this enemy, intervenes during Ramadan period which is meant for mercy and sharing.

For this humanitarian gesture, Turkey's ambassador considers strategic partnership with Cameroon intending to strengthen its relations. Cameroon, he believes, "is a symbolic country, a model and an example of tolerance, of living together."

In receiving this gift, the governor expressed gratitude of the Cameroonian State to the Turkish Republic. Midjiyawa Bakari recalled that Turkey has always expressed its solidarity with the people of Cameroon during difficult times.

The governor promised that the donation which will be immediately available to the regional ad hoc committee will be distributed, according to the procedure established, to defense forces, displaced populations and refugees.
