Video: Civil society leader forcefully arrested

Jean Marc Bikoko of Dynamique Citoyenne was arrested by security forces while he was preparing to hold a press conference with several members of his team, in Yaoundé on Tuesday.

The Deputy Prefect of Yaoundé 2 had ordered the security forces to stop a civil society workshop. Members of the civil society held a workshop on electoral governance and the Cameroon democratic alternation, when they were violently arrested.

Several journalists were arrested at the same time as the members of civil society.
