The United States of America has offered Cameroon six armoured vehicles to aid in the fight against Boko Haram.
General David Rodriguez, who commands US troops in Africa (AFRICOM), arrived in Cameroon with the cars.
After a hearing at Unity Palace, where he was received by President Biya in the company of US Ambassador to Cameroon Michael Hoza, General Rodriguez visited the headquarters in Yaounde.
Michael Hoza welcomed the cooperation between Cameroon and the United States in the fight against Boko Haram.
General Rodriguez was received here by Joseph Beti Assomo, newly appointed the Minister of Defense.
The new Mindef received six armored combat tactics of Loocheed Martin. The last generation vehicles, which have been proven to be good in Afghanistan and Iraq, will surely help in the fight against Boko Haram.
