The mobilization of the whole nation behind the defence forces was encouraged by president Paul Biya on December 31. Two political parties have heeded to this call and have brought comfort to the people and the defence forces.

Politicians have taken up the cause to support in many forms such as collections of funds and outreach to the place. It is with this missions that the parties 'Believe In Cameroon' (CARC) and the 'Union of the people of Cameroon' (Upc) made a visit to the North.

Since Thursday, January 29, 2015, under the leadership of Victor Onana, president of the bureau of the Steering Committee, the Upc has gone to confirm the patriotic support of the oldest party of the country to the armed forces, engaged in the defence of the territorial integrity and the protection of our people against attacks from the Boko Haram sect.

After a visit of recognition and support from the staff of the armed forces in the front, a donation to the victims of terrorism was presented at the Minawaou camp. To the Secretary-General of the UPC, Basile Louka, "UPC came to say to you that you are not alone. The homeland defense challenges us all."

For Bernard Njonga of CARC, it has not only been the question to comfort those affected by the horrors of this war, but also to find ways to permanently eradicate the threat. "The solution to this threat is not only military. It should include societal solutions, in order to dispel the fear and psychosis populations in the north are experiencing', suggested the president of Crac.
