Two diplomats say adieu to Head of Government

Prime Minister, Head of Government, Philemon Yang has received in audience, on behalf of Head of State, President Paul Biya two outgoing Ambassadors.

Ambassadors Abderrazak Landoulsi of Tunisia and Tsutomu Arai of Japan were received in two separate audiences this Thursday, 5th February 2015.

During the first audience, the Prime Minister and Tunisian diplomat discussed bilateral relations with emphasis on partnerships and conventions signed in the domains of education, scientific research, health and culture, amongst others.

The Tunisian Ambassador stated that the over 1000 Cameroonian students in Tunisia attest to the great relationship Cameroon and Tunisia have maintained over the years.

The Japanese Ambassador on his part laid emphasis on cooperation ties in the domain of education through the construction of primary schools, as a clear indication of his country’s determination to help the Cameroon government in the domain of education.

Other areas of cooperation between Cameroon and Japan, H.E Tsutomu Arai explained, have also been manifested through the provision of potable water and other reforms in the agricultural sector.

Both ambassadors met with the Prime Minister to formerly say adieu as they come to the end of their diplomatic stay in Cameroon.
