Two Perish in Car Accident in Douala

The driver and his "motor-boy" lost their lives due to a mechanical fault.

Saturday April 6 will be forever regarded as a tragic date in the families of Tchouamba Fokou and Yannick Steve Leumbo. This day marked their untimely passage into the world beyond after a car accident in Bomono, near Douala locality of the Moungo Division in the Littoral Region. According to gendarmerie sources, the driver and his "motor-boy" were on board a truck transporting ciment from Bonaberi, heading towards Souza.

On the way, the truck encountered a mechanical fault. The driver did his best to maintain its control. Unfortunately, they crashed into a nearby bush, killing them on the spot. When the elements of the fire fighting brigade arrived the scene, they were forced to break the vehicle's bonnet to release the corpses, which were transported to the Bonassama District Hospital Mortuary.
