Two Boko Haram members apprehended at Kaï-Kaï

Several days after a group of five Boko Haram members raided Kaï-Kaï near Yagoua on July 22, 2015, the people are still gripped with fear.

Although families deserted their homes to take shelter with relatives outside the capital of the district, they are gradually returning.

Through collaboration between the residents and the administrative authorities as well as municipal and law enforcement team, two Boko Haram members were apprehended at the district. One of them, aged twenty years, was was quickly spotted by traders when he came to town to shop, .

He was immediately arrested. His friend and band leader, a certain Alhaji, was not fortunate either. Residents chased him when he was seen on a motorcycle with one of his comrades. In the mad race, he lost control of the two wheels.

In a state of panic, the jihadist run to their hideout in the bush to join his armed comrades. Evil befell him when they believed they had been discovered and instinctively opened fire. The mistake was fatal to Alhaji.

A bullet hit his chest which ended his conservative ambitions. He was found dead on the morning of July 23, 2014, during a sweep carried out by the defense and security forces. Two Kalashnikov brand guns were discovered. Out of the five attackers, three are keenly sought after by police. They were reported around Bogo and Pette in Diamaré department.
