Tunisian health professionals in Cameroon

This visit provides for exchanges of experiences, field descents, training and business opportunities.

A delegation consisting of economic operators, the medical and health professionals from Tunisia sojourn in Cameroon from 8 to 11 June. This mission is part of the Professional Health Day's aim to identify opportunities for cooperation, establish a framework for partnership between Tunisian and Cameroonian professionals of health services and to enter into marketing agreements with equipment and products.

Consisting of twenty people, the Tunisian delegation will be composed of doctors, polycliniciens, pharmacists, laboratory technicians, medical equipment suppliers, experts in medical marketing and medical tourism.

In collaboration with the Cameroonian government, the Tunisian Embassy in Cameroon, the Export Promotion Centre of Tunisia, the Tunisian employers and Professional Associations of Cameroon (GICAM), health professionals of both countries intend to make presentations of their respective systems and policies.

In this professional stage, this visit also includes B2B meetings between health professionals, heads of medical institutions and heads of Tunisian and Cameroonian pharmaceutical companies; visits to some hospitals, clinics and other structures in charge of the health sector; a tour of the Chantal Biya Foundation, the National Social Insurance Fund and some social structures.

Ahead of the visit, the new ambassador of Tunisia in Cameroon took stock with the press last Wednesday in Yaounde. According Jalel Sanoussi, "expectations to this visit are large to the extent that it will have a share of interest and others".
