The new Minac requests for an audit of accounts

Narcisse Mouelle Kombi is concerned about the management style of Ama Tutu Muna, his predecessor. The new Cameroonian Minister of Arts and Culture has decided to audit the use of the Trust Account for the support of the cultural policy.

The former director of the International Relations Institute of Cameroon (IRIC) sent a correspondence on October 21, 2015 to the Minister of Finance with the subject "Audit Trust Account for the support of cultural policy."

The professor Mouelle Kombi notes that in taking office, "the account, with a billion francs as at 2011 is entirely empty and has a debit balance at the Treasury."

He also notes that "significant disbursements" were made in that regard by the Accountant and noted "a very high level of debt at the Ministry of Arts and Culture in relation to the commitments made with the Special Account".
