The United Nations explains the principle of SDGs

The United Nations General Assembly has voted and validated all the objectives of sustainable development with indicators associated with it. This is another collective commitment of Nations for a better future like the MDGs (Millennium Development Goals) made in 2000.

During a press conference on Tuesday, the coordinator of the UN system in Cameroon explained the vision of SDG and the MDGs. Main feature of the SGD raised was their inclusiveness.

To agree on it, civil society, media, economic actors, policymakers, social networks, etc. were consulted, said Najat Rochdi. And for everyone to benefit in the implementation phase, it takes a stand: peace, then the location of the expressed need. There is therefore no further improved laws, political systems, legal frameworks, but to act for human well-being in a community, region or country.
