The National Museum resume operations

Closed down since 2010, the National museum has started operating again. It is now open for the patronage of the public and tourists following the 'Open Door Day' held from 6th and 9th of November 2014.

The National Museum of Cameroon is is laden with art and culture. Closed in 2010 for rehabilitation work which started a year ago, the building located in Yaoundé hosted an "open door days" from 6th-9th November 2014.

Visitors rediscovered in the several exhibition halls, traditional Cameroonian musical instruments, gourds, wall frescoes or even seat on which Queen Elizabeth II sat during a visit to Cameroon in 1953.

Now, the space of the museum open to visitors extends to 5,000 square meters hence can more than 4,000 visitors at a time and this was evident at the opening.
