The 48-hour visit program of Buhari in Yaoundé outlined

The programme of the two-day visit of Muhammadu Buhari has been published by the Civil Cabinet of the Presidency of the Republic.

It indicated that Paul Biya, Cameroon’s head of state, will be at the Yaoundé- Nsimalen International Airport to welcome his host on Wednesday, July 29 at 11:00am.

Thereafter, the two heads of state will travel to Hilton Hotel which will house Muhammadu Buhari. After settling down, Buhari will be at the Unity Palace at 13:30 for a tête à tête with his Cameroonian counterpart, followed by an open meeting with the press.

President Buhari will be at the Embassy of Nigeria in Yaoundé for a meeting with the Nigerian Community in Cameroon on Wednesday, July 29 at 17h (5:00pm).
Shortly after 19h (7:00pm), Paul Biya will again welcome his guest at the Unity Palace for a state dinner hosted by Paul and Chantal Biya.

The next day, Thursday, July 30, Paul Biya will visit the Hilton Hotel at 9.30am to accompany Buhari to Yaoundé- Nsimalen International Airport where he is intended to read a joint statement before take-off at 11 am to Abuja, the capital of Nigeria. End of visit.

Even though the release did not mention the topics for discussion between Paul Biya and Muhammadu Buhari, it is certain that the war against Boko Haram will be the focus of discussion.
