Tender launched for the construction of Batchenga-Ntui-Yoko-Lena Route

Bidders have until July 23, 2015 to drop their offers, according to the announcement made by the Minister of public works.

"Everything has been done to make the construction starts in early 2016 at the latest and ends actually in three years, i.e. in 2019, says Emmanuel Nganou Djoumessi, Minister of economy, planning and regional development (Minepat).

This was done 28 March at Yoko, during the signing of four loan agreements for the financing of the first phase of development of the national road N ° 15, Yoko-Lena-Batchenga-Ntui, 248.6 km long. One of the insurance of Minepat was based on the words of Hans Hapangama Hapangama, Secretary of State for the Ministry of public works, who had indicated that "studies of feasibility have already been made and records of tenders are ready to be launched".

The Minister of public works issued Cameroon tribune from Monday, 4 May, a notice of invitation to tender (AAO), inviting "bidders to compete to present their offers for the execution of the construction of Batchenga-Ntui-Yoko-Lena Highway subdivided into three distinct lots".

It is worth noting that the Agence française de development (AFD) participates in financing the construction of this road, along with other financial partners, the African Development Bank (ADB), the Bank for development of the Central Africa States (BDEAC) and the Japanese Agency for international cooperation (JICA)).

The AFD was the first to give Cameroon a loan of about 43 billion F, aimed at the development of lot 1 of this road, with the construction of 400 metre on the Sanaga River at Nachtigal bridge and development of the junction of 24 km linking Nachtigal at Ntui.

The present call for tenders by Mintp is therefore for the realization of the rest of the work. i.e. the landscaping of the lot 2: Ntui-Mankim (96.7 km), lot 3: Mankim-Yoko (82.1 km) and lot 4: Yoko-Lena (44.9 km).

The announcement of Patrice Amba Salla noted that "a bidder can be awarded from one to two lots, but not all three. And that 'tenders must be submitted no later than July 23, 2015 at 10: 00, followed by the counting the same day at 11: 00.

For the record, the 245 billion F necessary for the realization of the Bastchenga-Ntui-Yoko-Lena road have been mobilized. There should not be worries for the Cameroonian counterpart, $ 26 billion f including "the mobilization is the forecast of annual fiscal record of 6.5 billion from 2015 to 2018" according the Minepat. For the second phase of the development project of national N ° 15, Lena to Ngaoundéré, 346.4 km estimated at 232.5 billion f, negotiations are underway to mobilize funds.
