The first edition of the National Days of Photography will be held from November 3 to 7, 2015 at the Conference Centre in Yaounde under the theme: "Images and development of Cameroon."

As a prelude to the event, the league of Cameroonian photographers held a press conference on October 26 in Yaounde. It was attended by Minister of Water and Energy, Basile Atangana Kouna appointed general supervisor of the National Day of Photography and a surprise guest in the person of the Minister of Communication, Issa Tchiroma Bakary.

During the ceremony, the Mincom was however not expected and the event was appropriate for his colleague who remained unmoved. "Although the Minee did not let his anger show, we imagine that deep down he must be legitimately angry," reports the daily Le Messager in its edition of the Tuesday, October 27, 2015.

Visibly uncomfortable, Minister Tchiroma who took over the speech "used the opportunity to magnify the Head of State, before reminding the organizers their key role in the development of Cameroon which dreams of emergence by 2035".

So far, no speech of the Minee according to the newspaper "must certainly mull his humiliation in silence." The spokesman of the government pushed the envelope further by allowing himself to participate in the traditional sequence of questions and answers.

"He chose to support his colleague who made him announce that he (MINEE) is about to start an urgent work session," reports the newspaper.

The Mincom did not demand more. "Give me a minute, I'll walk the minister and would be with you," he says to the media.

"With no warning, Atangana Kouna rushed towards the exit, visibly angry after the affront he has just undergone. Less than five minutes later, the Mincom returned to the room and continues his interview with the press," the paper reports.
