Swiss Confederation VP visits CMR

Vice-President of the Swiss Confederation, Simonetta Sommaruga, will make an official visit to Cameroon from 26 to 29 September according to the Ministry of External Relations.

According to the program made public to this effect, head of the federal Department of Justice and Police will sign with the Cameroon agreements relating to migration and striking out reciprocal of the visa requirement for holders of diplomatic passports and service.

Simonetta Sommaruga will also visit projects and achievements of the Switzerland in Cameroon in the context of decentralised cooperation, and will hold talks with leaders of civil society.

Her stay, notes, comes in the aftermath of a Swiss economic mission, and is according to the Government "a sign of the intensification of the excellent relations that Cameroon has with Switzerland."
