Supreme Court: Case of Paul Eric Kingue slated for Thursday, July 16

The Supreme Court of Cameroon is expected to pronounce judgement Thursday, July 16 on the case pending before them against Paul Eric Kingue, former Mayor of Njombe-Penja.

During the hearing of June 18, the supreme court took an unexpected turnaround even though the rapporteur counsel and the public prosecutor had argued for the acquittal of the accused, the Supreme Court said it required the production of the original parts of the record of proceedings in courts of the Mungo and judicial information, at the instance of the public ministry.

Finally the documents have been sent to the Supreme Court.
