A Diplomat by training and serving as Ambassador of Cameroon in an African country, the future PM, according to sources, may have been consulted in Germany during the recent private stay of Paul Biya.

The star building, which houses the services of the Prime Minister, might no longer host Yang Philémon. He was appointed on June 30, 2009, and then renewed on December 09, 2011.

The son from Bui has already spent over six years at the Prime Minister's office. Is this a sign of its effectiveness in the execution of tasks to him by the person who appointed him? Other critics of Yang look with disdain his stay in the Premiership because of the gaps that he trailed in the management of sensitive records.

At one point, there is a feeling that the powers of the head of government are reduced to the benefit of the Secretary General of his services. They brought forth, the problem of copyright, the elections crisis for Fecafoot, the port of Kribi and many other aspects of public life to back up their point. Six years and more at the head of the government, this is nothing when we know that some who were more swift, spent less time at the star building.

Who is the next tenant of the building star?

The question embarrasses all news rooms and the "first ministrables" are legion: John Ebong Ngollé, Mengot Arrey, Atanga Nji, Philip Ngolle Ngwese, Shey John Yembe, Gérôme Obi Eta, Paul Elung Che, Moh Tangogho Sylvestre, Fru Jonathan, Ama Tutu Muna and many other chiefs of the regime with the particularity of being from one of the two English-speaking regions of the country.

Your newspaper has learned from a credible source that the Ambassador of Cameroon in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has been consulted for the position of PM. The man comes from the Southwest and it is through him that will sound the death knell for Yang at the star building. A news, which in case it is confirmed, credits the rumours of the return of the Prime Minister into the Union fold. The Ambassador of Cameroon in the DRC is well approached to lead the government until 2018.

Regardless of the time that it will take, the president of the Republic will eventually revise the current government. 2018, the year of the next presidential elections and very crucial for the political future of the country, is in everybody’s mind. Poor or excellent, the current team led by Yang Philémon since December 09, 2011 is no longer dreaming in a Cameroon looking for its emergence to the year 2035.

Firstly, this government has been the longest of all teams formed by the head of state since 1983. Secondly, many of its members have been in the business for decades. Thirdly, some Ministers in function are indicted by justice. In this context, the prince could fire some and keep others.

Could we talk about purging when this team had already been criticized by Paul Biya himself on December 31, 2013?
