About eight students from Collège Intact de Douala were rushed to city health centres after they went into a trance, on Thursday.

According to witnesses, the scene took place in the morning, around 9: 00 during a social activity at the school located at Bépanda. The victims, sources said, were not rescued by the officials of this establishment.

Their classmates took them to the hospitals, including the medical center at the Douala 5th district, located behind the 7th District police station.

Alerted, the parents of the concerned students rushed to meet their children in the hospitals where they were admitted, informed witnesses. They, however, did not conceal their anger against the college officials who did not find it necessary to contact them about the unfortunate event.

Sources said that this is not the first time that cases of trance were reported in this private secondary school. Residents of this college indicated that these scenes usually occur when school re-opens.
