Student poisons rival

Ngoto Romaric, a form 3 student has been arrested and held in a cell in Ndelele, pending transfer to Batouri where he will be tried for attempted murder.

Ngoto Romaric, student in form 3 at Lycée bilingue de Ndélélé was arrested a day after Christmas, after attempting to kill his rival, a colleague student in his school. The poisoning incident took place in a local drinking spot.

This unfortunate incident took place on the day of the feast of the Nativity. On that fateful day, Ngoto Romaric decided to put an end to the life of his rival because the latter tried to woe his sweetheart, another student at their school. He therefore, solicited help from three accomplices, including a certain Lima, who lured the victim to follow him to the drinking bar.

The victim, innocently consumed the poisoned drink offered him by his "friends." HE started feeling the effects immediately after taking in the drink. He lost consciousness and went into a coma.

The four acolytes sneaked from the bar, leaving the poor boy in critical condition. He was later found and driven to Ndelele hospital for first aid care by residents, before he was transferred to the Hospital of Batouri.

A few days after his hospitalization, he regained consciousness and narrated his ordeal to his relatives uncovering the culprits. The police have been able to arrest all the culprits in the case.
