Student attempts suicide after failing BAC

Chantal S, a 20 year old senior high graduate who attempted suicide was told that she had excelled in her BAC examination, only to find out later that it was a hoax.

Initially, the girl on holiday in the village learned from one of her classmates that she had succeeded. Chantal even organized a party on her return to Douala to celebrate her success which would haul her into University. But after verification from an uncle, it turned out that she had failed.

It was actually a joke of bad taste from her friend. Very disappointed, Chantal decides to put an end to her life on the night of August 11, by swallowing 50 tablets, cocktail consisting of paracetamol, quinine, etc.

Found unconscious in her room by a member of the family, she was rushed to the general hospital in Douala. According to the medical staff, her condition is currently somewhat stabilized .
